Note to self...

Christmas 2012 is done! Ohhhhhh-ver! The last three days have been an absolute ball, crazy fast whirlwind, but a ball! I promise a full run-down ASAP (and some totally cute Christmas photos of the Little Man).

But this is a 'note to self' for Christmas 2013, this is ridiculously cute and will be perfect for a 21 month old Little Man

Cue the teepee...

Oh hello there little blog, it has been a while since we have had a chat. But I've had my hands full! Full of my delicious Little Man. As of last week he is nine months, now where did that time go? Those nine months have absolutely flown past.

But I actually know where they went.

They went to hours of cradling and rocking and soothing.
Hours of gazing, kissing, absorbing and loving.
Hours of feeding, puree making and recipe combination making.
Of smiles, giggles, chattering and a few tears.
Of learning to sleep, savouring every sleeping moment and loving every wake up smile.
Of on the ground playtime, rumbles, tackles and learning.
Lots of learning.
For this mama and this bubba.
For this little family.

The blog was abandoned. Tucked away and almost forgotten about. Until I started mini projects, little things that I kept thinking 'this would make a great blog post' or 'I should blog this'. You should see the list. Good grief there is a lot of writing to do! (and I am so excited about this)

So what is this? It is a basket full of love.
Life, style, baby, parenting, rumbles and rants, being mum and keeping mum, health and fitness, food and cooking. lots of photography. Photography professional and amateaur, Instagram-ography and capturing light, moments and time through the lens.

We will Embrace the camera Thursday and Instagram Instaweek on Fridays. Best of the blogs every two weeks, Tried and Tess-ted occasionally or frequently, you'll just have to wait and see.

So grab a cup of tea (or coffee, I a equally partial to both) and enjoy. There are old posts of a wedding video and nursery photos (yes, no it doesn't look like that any more, yes the light in his room is THAT amazing) and a few wish lists for the baby. I'll review those and add in my favourite and highly prized (read: overused) baby products.

Thanks for visiting, I hope you come back soon!

Our little one's nursery...

40 weeks pregnant today.
Our little boy's due date.
I've finally finished the nursery this morning and spent two hours photographing it.

I love that our little man will come home with his own space to rest his little head.

We cannot wait to meet you baby boy!

Maternity shoot with Mint Photography

The gorgeous Sarah Garton from Mint Photography who took our beautiful wedding photos asked if she could snap some photos of us before our little boy arrived. I am 32 weeks pregnant here and you can tell that I'm carrying 'big'! According to our Obs I am more like 40 weeks pregnant with measurements. As long as our little prince is happy and healthy, that's all that matters.

We cannot wait to meet you little bear!

Showered with love!

My beautiful maid of honour threw me a gorgeous baby shower last weekend! We worked hard on the decor and the gorgeous Annabel from designed the beautiful invites and 'wishes for baby'...

Little thank you's for everyone from Haigh's chocolates...

Pegged name-tags for everyone

Chocolate milk stand! I may have drunk my fair share of chocolate milk during this pregnancy - yum!

Savoury food table! Walnut and chicken sandwiches and zucchini slice, so yum!

Our baby in blue...

Sweet station!

Cupcakes from My Little Cupcake - I LOVE these!

A game or two..

My sweet little Ele from a gorgeous past student

The thank you's as designed by Part and Parcel

The Grandma's to be!

Bubba D was so spoilt! This one says 'Handsome like Dad' (so right...)

His little nest..

Thank goodness for these summer school holidays! With just 10 weeks until our little one arrives, I am so thankful for 6 weeks of leave to rest up and get everything ready for his arrival.

Whilst I have been scouring Etsy for nursery decor I have narrowed down a short list of decor items for his room.

Tree decal

We live in a leafy and green suburb in eastern Sydney and I want a tree decal in his room just like those in the park across the road and around the corner. This is the one we decided on from Smileywalls.

Map of the world

I want a map of the world above his change mat so we can talk about places that Mummy and Daddy have been, and how he can explore the world as he grows. There are a few I quite liked on Etsy but this one won from FinkaStudios

I love you quote

Our beautiful friend Julia and Maid Of Honor at our wedding read 'Guess How Much I Love You' for her wedding speech to us. This quote has stuck and so for Auntie Julz and becuase we really do love our bub this much, this print will go up on the wall from Raw Letter Press (in blue)

Alphabet Love You

Lastly, the teacher in me couldn't let this room come together without having the alphabet somewhere! I love this one from ColorBeeLove and will have it printed in two blues - one light one medium toned.
